Job Description

A multinational engineering and design firm is currently seeking for Structural Designers (permanent) to be based at Makati City as part of its growing team for the Phil office.

Work duration: Mon-Fri (usual dayshift)

Set-up: Full time (onsite during probationary period; will be on hybrid once permanent)

Job Description

  • Prepares Civil and Structural drawings and see to it that it Australian and company standards and engineering requirements are met.
  • Conceptualizes, prepares and interprets the 3D models and 2D detailed design drawings of structures.
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
  • Ensures that drawings are submitted on time.
  • Edit drawings to be issued for approval or fabrication

Job Requirements:

• Working to Australian Standards

• Designing and self-managing workload of a small portfolio of design projects

• Cutting-edge design skills with the natural ability and initiative to solve problems

• Familiarity with one or more of the following packages: Tekla Structures, MicroStation/Aecosim/Open Buildings Designer SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Open Plant & Isometrics manager, Navisworks

• Materials handling or process plant design experience

• Technical experience or exposure in the mining sector

• Previous experience with using point cloud data, is advantageous

• Excellent time management with a naturally self-motivating attitude

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a diverse team or independently

• Results-driven with a tendency to go the extra mile to achieve a successful result
