Role Description
The Strategy and Transformation Associate Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the Healthway Medical Network (HMN). The role focuses on strategy planning, performance monitoring, transformation projects, competitive intelligence, and executive communications to drive organizational growth and operational excellence. This position works closely with Business Units, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives, optimize processes, and support data-driven decision-making across the network.
Job Description:
1. Strategy Development
- Assist in the development of medium to long-term strategies for the Healthway Medical Network (HMN)
- Support Business Units (BUs) in translating HMN's overall strategy into individual BU strategies
- Assist in the development of annual Key Result Areas (KRAs) for HMN, shared services, and BUs, including facilitating planning sessions, defining KRA metrics, and ensuring alignment with AC Health KRA.
2. Strategy Monitoring
- Gather and analyze data to monitor HMN-level KRA metrics
- Track and evaluate the performance of Business Units against their KRAs
- Consolidate additional data and performance metrics requested by AC Health for organizational performance monitoring
3. Marketing and Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct internal and external market research related to the hospitals and clinics industry
- Monitor healthcare trends, emerging technologies/services, and competitor developments
- Conduct research to support business development initiatives and strategic projects, including market studies, stakeholder interviews, and competitive benchmarking
4. Strategic Organizational Alignment and Communications
- Organize HMN Management Committee (ManCom) meetings, including agenda preparation and presentation materials
- Coordinate and prepare for HMN Board meetings, including briefing sessions and board presentation materials
- Assist in organizing strategic planning sessions, including logistics coordination and facilitation
- Prepare meeting minutes and track action items from Board meetings, ManCom meetings, and other executive discussions
- Prepare data and presentation materials requested by AC Health Communications for press releases and external stakeholder presentations
- Develop speeches, reports, and presentation materials for the CEO and other executives
- Support key HMN and AC Health events, such as:
- Medical Advisory Council
- Doctors Symposium and Appreciation Night
- AC Health Trade Partners Night
- AC Health Client Appreciation Night
5. Transformation Initiatives
- Lead and manage priority HMN transformation projects, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring and improving the organization's referral system to ensure timely follow-up, enhanced patient conversion, and data-driven process improvements
- Facilitating administrative processes that support the patient journey
- Producing competitive intelligence reports for each business unit, including internal performance analysis, competitor benchmarking, and local healthcare market trends
- Supporting data alignment, integration, and analytics initiatives
- Driving operational optimization initiatives across Radiology, Laboratory, and Vaccination services for network-wide efficiency
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations
- Prepare executive reports and presentations on HMN strategies, project status, and organizational initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Health, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in strategy, project management, business transformation, or related areas
- OR
- Doctor of Medicine degree with a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and project coordination
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to present insights effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
