Company Description
International Care Ministries (ICM) has been addressing extreme poverty since 1992, working to transform the lives of ultra-poor families in the Philippines and beyond. Through community-based programs in health, livelihood, education, values, and community development, ICM partners with local churches and communities to help families build resilience, restore hope, and move toward lasting change.
Role Description
ICM is hiring a Strategy Director to support program strategy, planning, coordination, and execution across ICM's core programs.
This role sits within ICM's Global Program Strategy team and works closely with senior program leaders across health, livelihood, savings groups, education, and values. The Strategy Director will help translate organizational priorities into clear plans, practical tools, coordinated workflows, and actionable follow-through.
This is a role for someone who can think strategically, organize complexity, communicate clearly, and help teams move from ideas to execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Support program strategy development, planning, and implementation across ICM's core program areas
• Help coordinate priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple program teams
• Prepare clear documents, summaries, frameworks, presentations, and decision briefers
• Track strategic initiatives, follow-ups, risks, dependencies, and next steps
• Support cross-functional planning between Program Strategy, Field Operations, Monitoring and Learning, Research, Metrics, and other teams
• Help improve systems, workflows, and tools that support program quality and scalability
• Analyze information from teams and translate it into clear recommendations or action plans
• Support senior leaders in preparing for meetings, reviews, donor-facing discussions, and internal planning
• Contribute to special projects connected to ICM's program growth, learning, and organizational strategy
We're looking for someone who is:
• Strategic, organized, and able to manage complexity
• Clear and professional in written and verbal communication
• Strong at turning ideas, discussions, and data into practical next steps
• Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Proactive and able to follow through without constant reminders
• Analytical, but also practical and execution-oriented
• Able to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
• Humble, collaborative, and willing to serve teams
• Mission-driven and aligned with ICM's work among families living in ultra-poverty
Helpful experience may include:
• Strategy, program management, project management, operations, consulting, nonprofit management, or international development experience
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams or departments
• Strong writing, synthesis, presentation, and documentation skills
• Experience with program design, monitoring and learning, research, or field operations
• Confidence using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and common productivity systems
• Experience in NGOs, churches, missions, development organizations, or social impact work
• Familiarity with health, livelihood, education, savings groups, or community development programs is an advantage
More than a specific degree or title, we are looking for judgment, clarity, ownership, humility, and the ability to help strategy become action.
Why Join ICM
This role offers unusual exposure to program leadership, organizational strategy, field operations, and meaningful mission-driven impact. The Strategy Director will help strengthen how ICM plans, coordinates, learns, and executes across programs serving families living in ultra-poverty.
If you are looking for a role where you can think strategically, serve practically, and help turn mission into action, we would love to hear from you.
