The Mandate
Strategic Sales & Client Growth Director - Banking Platforms (APAC), operating as a senior individual contributor with ownership of strategic account growth, customer expansion and new business development across the region.
This is a hands-on commercial mandate for a proven enterprise software sales and account leader who can protect, deepen and expand major banking and corporate relationships while also opening new revenue opportunities across complex, multi-country APAC environments.
Scope & Responsibilities
- Own revenue growth across assigned APAC strategic accounts, including retention, expansion, upsell, cross-sell and new business origination.
- Act as the senior commercial point of contact and trusted advisor for banks, financial institutions and large corporate clients.
- Build multi-level account maps across C-level, business, technology, operations, trade finance, transaction banking and procurement stakeholders.
- Drive complex, long-cycle enterprise sales engagements, typically 12-18 months, from qualification through proposal, negotiation and closure.
- Develop account plans that convert existing customer relationships into measurable pipeline, wallet-share growth and long-term customer value.
- Identify new opportunities across trade finance, supply chain finance, transaction banking, corporate banking and related enterprise platform areas.
- Mobilise internal stakeholders across solution consulting, delivery, product management, marketing and finance to shape client-specific solutions.
- Own commercial strategy, pricing discipline, deal governance, executive stakeholder alignment and forecasting accuracy.
- Represent the organisation in senior client meetings, regional industry forums and selected trade finance / transaction banking events.
Profile Sought
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales, strategic account management or business development experience, ideally across APAC banking technology markets.
- Proven experience selling complex, high-value platforms into banks, financial institutions, corporates or large enterprise clients.
- Strong account management capability: relationship expansion, stakeholder mapping, renewal protection, reference building and disciplined customer growth.
- Demonstrable track record in new business, account expansion, upsell, cross-sell, RFP ownership, negotiation and executive-level deal closure.
- Credibility with C, C-1 and C-2 stakeholders across banking, corporate banking, operations, technology and procurement functions.
- Strong preference for trade finance, supply chain finance, transaction banking, cash management, treasury or corporate banking platform experience.
- Hybrid profile: strategic account leadership, trusted-advisor presence and hands-on commercial execution.
- Not suited for candidates without direct deal ownership, quota accountability or genuine account growth responsibility.

Compensation Structure
Senior to Director-level compensation with strong base and uncapped commission aligned to enterprise deal origination, account expansion, customer retention and strategic revenue growth across APAC.
