Role Overview
The Strategic Category Growth Manager is responsible for accelerating category performance through strategic growth initiatives, innovation management, and commercial execution. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth and successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Category Growth Management
- Develop and execute category growth strategies and initiatives
- Lead category business planning and performance tracking processes
- Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive trends
- Identify growth drivers and recommend strategic actions
- Manage category P&L and optimize commercial investments
- Collaborate with RGM teams on pricing and pack architecture decisions
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Present category direction and recommendations to leadership teams
- Lead cross-functional alignment sessions and governance meetings
- Influence stakeholders to secure support for strategic initiatives
- Coordinate with regional and local teams to align growth priorities
- Ensure timely execution of category plans across functions
NPL & Commercial Execution
- Lead planning and execution of New Product Launches
- Develop launch strategies, sell-in materials, and sales toolkits
- Coordinate production readiness, deployment planning, and launch timelines
- Manage artwork approvals, POSM development, and activation planning
- Partner with channel teams to support BTL execution and market rollout
- Monitor launch performance and recommend optimization initiatives
