Strategic Buyer

Position is responsible for strategic purchasing of various commodities and raw materials in terms of Cost, Delivery, Quality, New Product Development, alternate sourcing, and Supplier Management to achieve maximum benefits through proper utilization and effective control.

About the job:

• Strategizes Cost Reduction, Second Source, and Localization
• Project Management per defined targets
• Negotiate payment term improvement and ensure payment accuracy
• New Product Development support
• Finds alternate sources for better cost and smooth parts supply
• Organize and coordinate supplier assessment and audits
• Resolve critical issues without affecting production operations
• Support vendor management and risk mitigation projects
• SAP supply base data maintenance, e.g., Source List, PIR, etc.
• Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

About you:

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Supply Chain / Business, or any related course
• 3+ years of experience in Procurement (Sourcing, Negotiation, Supplier management, and other Procurement processes and strategies)
• Direct material sourcing experience in Electronics, Automotive, Electrical, or related industry.
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Demonstrate the capability of handling multiple projects in parallel
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP platforms
