Job Description

The Role:

As a member of the Finance Team, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring timely reporting for our client.

This role will handle core accounting functions such as:

• Reconciliations

• Accounts payable

• Accounts receivable

• Expense processing

• Payroll support

• Month-end close activities

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working with both local and international teams.

Location: Must be residing in the Philippines – Remote

Environment: Philippines and International Teams

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1)

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time (8:00 PM to 5:00 AM Philippine Time), follows Philippine holidays

Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

Requirements:

• 5 years plus of proven experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or related finance roles

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience collaborating with multiple departments and leadership teams

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

• Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Proven ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial records

• Experience supporting industries such as manufacturing, technology, finance, or similar sectors

• Experience with audit support, tax filings, and financial reporting

• Familiarity with IFRS or other specialized accounting standards

Responsibilities:

• Update bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

• Manage accounts payable, including bill entry and vendor payments

• Process employee expense reports and payroll support tasks

• Generate, review, and send customer invoices

• Transfer invoices from ConnectWise to QuickBooks

• Record customer payments accurately and on time

• Monitor and follow up on weekly timesheet completion and approvals

• File sales tax returns and reconcile inventory records in QuickBooks

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation

• Collaborate with internal teams to support reporting and operational decisions

• Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and other third parties as needed

• Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices

• Perform other related duties as assigned
