Your Role

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive bank account reconciliations regularly.
  • Review and correct Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) entries to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Analyze Income Statements and financial reports to identify errors and ensure accurate accruals.
  • Respond to inquiries from community managers regarding accounting workflows and financial statement questions.
  • Assist in various ad-hoc financial projects, including inputting property and community budgets into the system as needed.
  • Attend departmental group meetings to stay aligned on structural updates and operational targets.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • More than 2 years of solid professional experience in accounting.
  • Strong ability to review financial statements for errors, variances, and proper accrual placements.
  • Proven experience executing bank account reconciliations and conducting A/R and A/P corrections.
  • Excellent written communication skills to effectively handle email correspondences regarding financial statements and accounting questions.
  • Collaborative mindset with the capability to work closely with community managers and actively participate in department updates.

Preferred Skills/Expertise

  • Previous accounting experience within the property management industry, specifically handling Homeowners Associations (HOAs).
  • Strong capability to seamlessly handle and adjust to various financial ad-hoc projects and system budget data entry.
