Job Description

Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant will assist with the review of 2025 financial activity across multiple entities, including hotels, restaurants, laundry companies, and related ownership entities.

Work Schedule:

  • 8:00am to 5:00pm

Work Setup:

  • Hybrid (Flexible working arrangement)

Office Assignment:

  • MAKATI OFFICE: 22F Tower 1, One Ayala Corporate Center, Ayala Ave., Makati City

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review assigned general ledger accounts for unusual balances, missing support, miscoding, duplicate entries, or stale activity
  • Assist in identifying accounts with balances that do not align with the nature of the account
  • Research transaction details in QuickBooks Online and supporting systems
  • Request necessary documentation to validate account balances
  • Support the cleanup of prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, intercompany balances, liabilities, deposits, fixed assets, and expense accounts
  • Maintain organized workpapers for all accounts reviewed
  • Help build audit ready support files for 2025 financial activity

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Years of Experience: at least 2 years of work experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles
  • Strong background in day-to-day accounting procedures
  • Adaptability to new platforms
  • High attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Language Requirements: Fluent in English
  • Education: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any accounting related
  • Industry Exposure: Hospitality (Hotels and Resorts)
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience in month-end close, reconciliations and account clean-up
  • Accounting System/ Software experience or knowledge: QuickBooks Online
  • Certificates or Licenses: CPA or Non-CPA
