Staff AccountantGeneral Position Summary

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and contributing to process improvements. This position partners closely with the Senior Finance Manager to manage day-to-day accounting functions, provide financial insights, and support strategic decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or related fields
• Experience using software tools such as ERP, CRM, and online payment/banking platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Knowledge of inventory management from an accounting perspective
• Expert-level desktop computer skills
• Background or knowledge of sales tax requirements and processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to properly investigate and resolve accounting and finance operational issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workload efficiently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  

Essential Position FunctionsAccounts Payable & Receivable Support

• Manage and process Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment
• Support Accounts Receivable efforts, including monitoring outstanding balances and assisting with collections as needed
• Maintain vendor and customer records to ensure data accuracy and compliance
  
  

Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy

• Perform regular reconciliations, including corporate credit cards and other assigned accounts
• Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of financial data and adherence to internal controls
  
  

Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare and distribute financial reports and key performance metrics to evaluate the organization's financial position
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis
• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  
  

Compensation & Metrics Support

• Evaluate and validate bonus and incentive metrics to ensure accuracy and alignment with company policies
• Partner with leadership to provide supporting data for final approvals
  
  

Cross-Functional Support & Customer Service

• Serve as a resource to internal teams by answering accounting and financial-related questions
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
  
  

Process Improvement & Projects

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen controls
• Participate in and lead projects that support organizational growth, scalability, and profitability
• Assist in implementing new systems, tools, or workflows as needed
  
  

Work Setup Remote

Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed

Must work Night Shift from 9PM to 6AM PHT
