We are seeking an experienced
Staff Accountant with a strong background in healthcare accounting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in
general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accrual accounting, and financial reporting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Handle accrual accounting and prepare month-end journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting reports.
- Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding financial reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, and accrual accounting
- Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred, including work with:
- Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
- Assisted Living Operators
- Home Health Agencies
- Healthcare Operators
