Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with a strong background in healthcare accounting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accrual accounting, and financial reporting, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Handle accrual accounting and prepare month-end journal entries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting reports.
  • Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding financial reporting and analysis

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, and accrual accounting
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred, including work with:
  • Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
  • Assisted Living Operators
  • Home Health Agencies
  • Healthcare Operators
