About the Role:

Accountant I

Job Summary

The Accountant I is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting general accounting activities to ensure the integrity of financial data. This role works closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to complete accounting tasks efficiently and meet reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general bookkeeping and daily accounting tasks.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and manage account balances.
  • Handle billing activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Set up billing contracts and client profiles in the accounting system.
  • Perform general ledger and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support project accounting assignments and other ad hoc reports.
  • Prepare and process employee expense reports.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries through email and phone.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure timely submission of reports and reconciliations.

Screening Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional accounting experience.
  • Stable employment history.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (G Suite).
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates initiative and professionalism in handling client and vendor communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients or marketing-related industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project-based or agency accounting setups is a plus.

Work Schedule:

9:00 PM 6:00 AM PHT, Monday to Friday

Location:

2nd and 3rd Floors of the HAI Global Building, Pryce Business Park, J.P. Laurel Ave., Bajada, Davao City
