About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Linux infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

● Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across

the enterprise

● Manage and maintain Red Hat Satellite infrastructure for system provisioning,

configuration management, and lifecycle management

● Create and maintain scripts to automate the provisioning of new servers and automated patching.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritize multiple deliverables with different stakeholders effectively

● Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members

● Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and standard operating procedures

● Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions

● Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed

Required Qualifications

(Must Have)

● Strong Linux system administration experience, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise

Linux (RHEL)

● Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite Administration (installation, configuration,

content management, and system provisioning)

● Solid understanding of vulnerability management and patching processes

● Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical

concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

● Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and manage competing demands from different stakeholders

● Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning

● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

● Experience administering VMs in Microsoft Azure Cloud

● AIX Unix Administration experience

● Cisco ESX administration knowledge

● Power PC Administration experience

● Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration

● DevOps practices and methodologies (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code)

● Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, Azure Administrator, etc.)
