Job Description
- The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading individual and multi-disciplined projects while overseeing a team of project managers. The role is directly accountable for the team's ability to meet projected delivery dates and to stay within budget on all projects and solutions. The core elements of the role are about organizing people and time resources and seeing the project through from inception to completion. Leads the team to deliver projects that span across one or more business units.
- Leads the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the department.
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Manages teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design, development, testing periods, installation, and final delivery.
- Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Prepares estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.
- Manages the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.
- Provides status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and communication across leadership.
- Participates and/or drives feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders.
- Develops and manages all aspects of the project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
- Sets and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
- Monitors, tracks, and controls outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team and sponsors.
- Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is a plus.
- Related Work Experience – At least 4 years of experience as an IT Professional, with 4+ years experience in Project Management.
- 4+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with an understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle.
- Highly experienced in handling complex projects following SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Proven success in providing leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Proven experience working on multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
