Senior Network SpecialistRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Specialistto independently manage, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot a global enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in enterprise networking, routing, switching, security, and data center environments. Experience working within ISP core networks or large-scale enterprise data center operations is highly preferred.
This role requires a proactive professional capable of ensuring high availability, performance, and security across complex network environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise-wide network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues and bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-connected environments.
- Manage and optimize routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and VLAN configurations.
- Administer network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control solutions.
- Perform network capacity planning, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Support data center networking environments and ensure business continuity through redundancy and failover solutions.
- Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and service providers to maintain service quality and resolve escalated issues.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Participate in network architecture reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, administration, or support.
- Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching technologies.
- Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar enterprise networking platforms.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, QoS, and network security principles.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks, global network infrastructures, or ISP environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in ISP core network operations.
- Experience managing large enterprise data center networks.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), and network automation tools.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
