As a Senior Customer Quality / Quality Supervisor, you will lead and guide Quality Engineers and Cross‑Functional Teams in resolving customer and internal quality issues related to Finished Goods and sub‑assemblies. You will play a critical role in driving Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction, Quality Notification (QN) closure, and Zero‑Defect culture deployment across the organization.
This role serves as a key customer advocate, ensuring timely containment, root cause resolution, and systemic corrective actions that protect both the customer and the business.
This position is based in our Philippines manufacturing facility.
Our Team
You will work within a highly collaborative, cross‑functional environment, partnering closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Global Customer Quality (GCQ) teams.
As a senior quality leader, you will mentor Quality Engineers and Technicians while supporting organizational goals related to Total Quality Management (TQM), IATF 16949, Six Sigma, and EH&S systems.
What You Will Do
• Lead Cross‑Functional Teams (CFT) in COPQ reduction initiatives, customer complaint reduction, and Quality Notification (QN) elimination.
• Serve as a quality advisor for the disposition and timely release of blocked Finished Goods, ensuring minimal business and customer impact.
• Guide CFTs in resolving line quality issues and driving sustainable continuous improvement actions.
• Lead and review 8D problem‑solving activities, ensuring strong use of Red‑X, FTA, Fishbone, DMAIC, and other structured methodologies.
• Ensure timely submission of 8D reports (D3–D8) to customers in accordance with agreed timelines.
• Act as temporary replacement for the Senior Quality Engineer, managing escalations and critical customer issues during absences.
• Prepare and maintain monthly quality performance reports, including COPQ and QN trends.
• ChampionGo & See PFMEA activities and embed Zero‑Defect principles across operations.
• Support certification audits and customer audits, including preparation, execution, and follow‑up actions.
• Mentor, train, evaluate, and set performance expectations for Quality Engineers and Technicians.
• Foster a professional and fair work environment that balances business objectives and employee well‑being.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and technical expertise across the Quality organization and CFTs.
• Ensure strict adherence toTQM, Six Sigma, ISO/IATF, Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
• Implement rapid and effective actions to protect the customer, always considering the best interest of the business.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a related role
• Strong background in automotive wire harness manufacturing
• Proven experience in:
• Structured problem solving (8D, CAPA, PDCA, DMAIC)
• Six Sigma and Core Quality Tools certified
• Strong data analysis and statistical problem‑solving skills
What Will Put You Ahead
• Post‑graduate degree
• 8+ years as a Quality Assurance Engineer or 5+ years as a Senior Engineer / Quality Supervisor in an automotive or IATF 16949‑certified organization
• Advanced proficiency in:
• Auditing techniques (process, product, system)
• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑620 (wire harness) and IPC‑A‑610 (PCB assembly) standards
• Strong people leadership, coaching, facilitation, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
