Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end healthcare technology projects supporting clinical and non-clinical business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, experience in healthcare operations, proficiency with ServiceNow, and a solid understanding of Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

This role will partner with business stakeholders, clinical teams, and IT organizations to ensure projects are executed successfully while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards. The position primarily operates on a night shift schedule supporting PST business hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end healthcare projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using Waterfall methodology.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, business, and IT stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities.
  • Establish risk mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project impact.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Provide regular status reporting and executive updates to leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, audit requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Leverage ServiceNow for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support PMO best practices and drive process standardization.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Level

  • Lead multiple complex healthcare transformation programs simultaneously.
  • Act as the primary client-facing project lead.
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers and project coordinators.
  • Drive strategic planning and project portfolio management initiatives.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership on project decisions.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, or related field.

Experience

Healthcare Technical Project Manager

  • 8+ years of overall professional experience.
  • 3-4+ years of relevant Healthcare Project Management experience.

Senior Healthcare Technical Project Manager

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience.
  • 6-8+ years of Healthcare Project Management experience.
  • Previous experience leading teams and mentoring project managers preferred.
