Sr. Fraud Specialist

Play-Asia.com is a global online retailer for video games and electronics, headquartered in Hong Kong, with a young and motivated team based onsite in Subic Bay, Philippines. We build platforms used by customers worldwide and internal teams every day.

Your Role
  • The Senior Fraud Specialist is responsible for performing advanced fraud detection, risk analysis, and investigation activities to support effective risk identification, monitoring, and mitigation within an e-commerce environment. This role focuses on reviewing high-risk transactions, investigating suspicious activities, and preventing fraud related to online transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • The Senior Fraud Specialist works closely with management and cross-functional teams to strengthen fraud prevention measures, identify risk trends, and continuously improve risk controls and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and support members of the Risk team
  • Oversee day-to-day risk operations, reviews, and investigations
  • Monitor high-risk transactions, accounts, and escalations

Communicate risk-related updates, policies, and procedures to the team

Communicate and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Customer Support, Finance, IT, Compliance) to align on risk-related issues, investigations, policy updates, and process improvements

Provide training, coaching, refreshers, and performance feedback

Review and approve complex or high-risk cases

Identify gaps and opportunities to improve risk controls and internal processes

Coordinate with internal teams for process improvements and implementation

Manage staffing, scheduling, and leave requests of team members

What We Are Looking For
  • Any bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Fraud Department
  • Strong knowledge of risk metrics, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and chargebacks
  • Experience in an e-commerce or online retail environment preferred; gaming industry knowledge is a plus
  • Strong analytical, computer, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
