What is the job

The Senior Financial Clearance Specialist is responsible in processing and verifying administrative and financial components of patient financial clearance, including insurance validation, pre-certification, prior authorization, pre-registration, patient benefit verification, and out-of-pocket cost estimates. This role ensures accurate collections, provides financial counseling to patients, and supports high-quality pre-service and point-of-service operations.

• Process and verify insurance benefits, medical necessity, routine and complex pre-certifications, prior authorizations, scheduling, and pre-registration.

• Provide clear and compassionate financial counseling to patients regarding benefits coverage, out-of-pocket estimates, and financial policies.

• Generate and review patient cost estimates; perform pre-service collections and secure patient liabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in patient registration in a hospital or physician office, including obtaining patient demographic and financial information.

• Experience handling insurance verification and authorizations.
