Position Summary

The Senior Finance Director will lead the overall finance and accounting function of a shared services organization supporting multiple restaurant brands. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, effective financial planning, and strong internal controls while providing strategic insights that drive operational efficiency, business growth, and profitability.

Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, cost optimization, and finance team development.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Business Analysis

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS) and applicable tax regulations.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities while ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Deliver meaningful financial insights and reports that support executive decision-making.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
  • Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and recommend initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to update forecasts based on changing business conditions and organizational priorities.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Manage company cash flow to maintain healthy liquidity while optimizing the use of available funds.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory levels, and overall working capital.
  • Review cash positions, banking activities, and reconciliation processes to ensure financial accuracy and control.

Compliance, Governance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit findings.
  • Develop, strengthen, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.

Cost Management & Profitability

  • Analyze key cost drivers, including food costs, labor, operating expenses, and overheads, to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to establish and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
  • Recommend and implement financial strategies that improve efficiency, resource utilization, and overall business performance.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team through coaching, performance management, and continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain standardized finance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure the finance team is proficient in financial systems, reporting tools, and company processes.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to senior leadership by providing strategic recommendations on expansion initiatives, new business opportunities, and capital investments.
  • Support financial evaluations for new store openings, business development projects, and operational improvements.
  • Provide financial guidance on pricing strategies, promotional activities, and other commercial initiatives to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA is a must.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant, food service, retail, hospitality, or multi-branch operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), taxation, BIR regulations, SEC compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Proven leadership experience managing finance teams within a fast-paced organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
