Senior Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced
Senior Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex drainage and hydraulic systems. Licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years of progressive experience required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design drainage systems, stormwater management solutions, and hydraulic infrastructure
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis (HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks)
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on projects
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical work
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Current PE License in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years as a Licensed Civil Engineer
- 10+ years as a Drainage/Hydraulic Engineer
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and CAD/BIM tools
- Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- 15+ years of total experience
- Experience with sustainable drainage systems (SuDS/LID)
- 2D/3D modeling software (HEC-2D, TUFLOW)
- GIS and data analysis experience
- Team management experience
