The Senior Developer codes, tests, debugs, and troubleshoots new and existing applications as part of an Agile Scrum team, to meet business requirements. Participates in application design to solve business problems. The Senior Developer will work to help the team improve in methods and processes.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of a wide variety of web-based and mobile applications per application requirements and process flow.
- Write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects.
- Follow an Agile development methodology based on Scrum, in a multi-team environment.
- Develop new applications, as well as modifying and maintaining existing software.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and research application/system issues as required and propose solutions to problems
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Provide recommendations and implement continuous improvement activities.
- Interact with client and technical teams to define requirements and develop solutions.
- Work with IT Team on project priorities and deliverable timelines.
- Function as a peer leader by mentoring other Developers on the team.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience coding in C#/.Net/SQL using Visual Studio.
- Experience with Unit Testing and/or automated testing of web applications a plus
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), especially under Azure DevOps a plus
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
- Familiarity with Xamarin mobile development, Test-Driven Development, and/or Drupal websites a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage expectations by providing transparent updates on project status, priorities, and potential impacts to deliverables while maintaining positive working relationships.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There is a minimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally 40 hours a week during normal business hours. May require some additional hours as needed. Consistent and regular attendance required.
