Role Overview

Executes workflows for various contract types, supporting GBS staff and Account Executives by preparing, reviewing, and amending contracts, handling escalations, ensuring policy compliance, and managing case assignment for the Global Deal Strategy Team

Role Experience

Multiple years of experience supporting deal structuring and contract edits/drafting. (Ideally large enterprise organizations)

Previous experience and comfort with Microsoft Office and Google doc

Primary Task & Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and finalize standard contracts and basic amendments using approved templates; ensure language reflects agreed commercial terms and required approvals
  • Manage full contract lifecycle for straightforward deals: intake (SFDC case), draft, internal reviews/approvals, signature (Ironclad / DocuSign), and case closure
  • Triage SFDC cases to determine whether requests are within Deal Analyst scope or require escalation to Deal Strategists, Legal, Monetization Ops, or other specialized teams
  • Apply rules/triage playbook to classify complexity, approvals required, and routing; follow SOPs for exceptions and nonstandard requests
  • Validate that contract edits are supportable (coordinate with Monetization Ops, Pricing, Legal as needed) and document rationale in the case
  • Maintain high contract accuracy to minimize downstream billing/misbilling risk; escalate unclear commercial/legal asks
  • Track case activity and surface recurring issues or template gaps to Deal Strategy leadership for process improvements
  • Manage daily case assignments and regional case-flow responsibilities

Primary Audience

  • AE / Sellers primary requestors and collaborators
  • Internal GBS team members (e.g., Deal Strategists (regional DRIs) daytoday subject-matter support and approvals)
  • Monetization/Ops teams validation of edits and onboarding checks
  • Legal / Commercial Counsel for escalations and nonstandard legal language
  • Pricing Team for coordination on terms that affect commercial setup
  • Regional Sales leadership (AMER / EMEA / APAC)

Must Have Skills

  • Several years hands-on experience drafting and editing commercial contracts in large/complex organizations
  • Strong Microsoft Word proficiency (track changes, locking, template customization, formatting)
  • Practical knowledge of contract approval workflows and signature tools (Ironclad, DocuSign)
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to ensure contract accuracy to avoid downstream billing risk
  • Ability to follow detailed SOPs and playbooks; sound judgment in triage decisions (what to handle vs escalate)
  • Strong written communication for precise contractual language and clear case notes
  • Comfort working in a case-based workflow (Salesforce Cases) and documenting actions in-system

Must Have Tools

  • Microsoft Word - for mandatory for drafting and formatting templates
  • Salesforce (Cases / opportunity record integration) - for primary intake and case management
  • Ironclad and DocuSign (Ideal) - for contract execution and storage
  • Google Docs/Sheets - for team collaboration and SOPs

Nice to Haves:

Skills

  • Prior experience in Deal Strategy, Deal Desk, or commercial contracting in SaaS / Enterprise tech
  • Familiarity with CPQ / quoting tools and how quote metadata maps into contract generation
  • Basic understanding of pricing constructs (tiered fees, revenue share, minimum commitments) to spot inconsistencies
  • Process improvement or template-authoring experience to contribute to standardization
  • Comfort with regional legal/commercial nuances across AMER/EMEA/APAC
  • Prior experience working under regional escalation/triage models and supporting a manager/SME

Tools

  • Familiarity with internal contract management integrations (Ironclad templates, DocuSign APIs).
  • Basic reporting/analytics (Salesforce reports, Sheets) to help populate monthly scorecards and accuracy metrics.
  • Jira or other ticketing tools for cross-team escalations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Multiple years of experience supporting deal structuring and contract edits/drafting. (Ideally large enterprise organizations)
  • Previous experience and comfort with Microsoft Office and Google doc
  • Salesforce case management experience
  • Proven track record in managing manual and automated processes
