- Has a strong impact on Manufacturing Technology Development Roadmap-driven development projects.
- Drives for excellence in data science solutions to enable innovation for Stamping, Plating, Molding, Assembly, and Measuring Systems technologies and methods.
- Translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and statistical analyses.
- Work with large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
- Develop predictive models, optimization algorithms, and recommendation systems.
- Collaborate with data engineering to ensure scalable data pipelines and model integration.
- Communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders using data visualizations and a clear narrative.s
- Applies broad knowledge of lean-sigma methodologies to resolve problems of diverse scope and complexity, ty requiring analysis/evaluation of data.
- Collaborates cross-functiona, leading projects or project steps within broader project teams, e.g., tooling capability to produce lead frames with sub-micron tolerances, measuring system capability for sub-micron molded parts warpage.
- Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Works under general direction and delivers results that directly impact the achievement of department objectives.
- Participates in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Provide training and mentorship to other employees, often providing input for performance evaluations.
- Provides input to the objectives and goals of the subfunction or business unit.
What your background should look like:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
- Bachelor's Degree required (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field), Master's preferred.
- Strong foundation in statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of data analytics tools. e.g., Minitab, JMP, Power BI, Tableau.
- Thorough knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.
- Tight tolerance electrical connector experience is a plus!
- Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
- Broad knowledge of stamping, plating, assembly, and molding processes for connectors and sockets is a plus.
- Practical application of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, & Outlook).
- General project management skills and experience Ability to work on several projects at once.
- Based in Batangas, Philippin,es awillingngs to travel up to 25% average.
