Junior Credit Analyst

About Us

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Credit Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the organization's credit and risk management functions by reviewing client information, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that credit-related processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in facilitating credit transactions, maintaining high-quality documentation, monitoring portfolio performance, and supporting the implementation of internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Head of Client Relationship, Credit Operations teams, and other stakeholders in the Lending Group to ensure timely processing of credit requests and effective portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete and well-organized credit files and credit packages for review by senior management, ensuring all supporting documents are accurate, complete, and professionally presented.

  • Validate financial data and verify the accuracy and consistency of information used in credit assessments and underwriting.

  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective borrowers by analyzing financial and operational information.

  • Triangulate reported revenues using collections data, in-house financial statements, bank statements, and loan portfolio information (where applicable) to assess consistency and identify discrepancies.

  • Validate disclosed cash balances by reconciling in-house financial statements against bank statement balances.

  • Review bank statements to identify undisclosed borrowings or financing arrangements by validating disclosed loans against significant banking transactions.

  • Identify and investigate material financial discrepancies (generally exceeding 3%) between audited financial statements, internally prepared financial statements, and other supporting documents.

  • Review client financial statements, bank statements, tax documents, and other supporting information to ensure completeness, accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with internal credit requirements.

  • Prepare financial analysis, due diligence findings, credit summaries, and supporting reports to assist senior credit analysts and management in credit decision-making.

  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers, clients, and internal teams to obtain missing information, clarify discrepancies, and ensure timely completion of credit requirements.

  • Monitor assigned credit applications to ensure documentation, approvals, and internal workflows are completed within established turnaround times.

  • Maintain accurate credit records and ensure proper documentation is retained for audit, compliance, and regulatory purposes.

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, operational procedures, underwriting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Escalate material issues, exceptions, documentation deficiencies, or potential credit risks to senior management promptly.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen credit processes, documentation standards, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance, investment banking, commercial banking, corporate banking, lending, credit operations, financial services, or a similar industry.

  • Strong understanding of financial products, lending processes, and credit operations.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience working with banking or financial systems is an advantage.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
