JOB OVERVIEW

As a Sr. Actuarial Manager, your responsibilities typically revolve around overseeing the actuarial functions within Singlife Philippines. The Sr. Actuarial Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing actuarial activities within the organization. This position involves conducting complex analyses, providing strategic insights, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Sr. Actuarial Manager collaborates with various departments to support decision-making processes and drive business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Product Pricing

• Recommends assumptions for new products considering digital-first nature of Singlife Philippines operations

• Create and maintain pricing models aligned with product features and assumptions

• Review and recommend pricing actions for new and existing products that are within Singlife Philippines standards and profitability requirements (considers customer sentiments and the market competitor landscape).

• Generate profitability and sensitivity results and analyze key product risks

• Prepares standard pricing documents required for product approvals with the Insurance Commission

• Prepares calculators used for sales illustrations in relation to new products / product reviews for submission to the Insurance Commission.

Interface with key stakeholders as the need may arise

Product Management

• Assists in product development during product design, risk management, and implementation until product launch

• Provide support and guidance on the regular review of the profitability and key risks of products in Singlife Philippines portfolio and recommend if re-pricing or product pull-out is required

• Provide support to Operations for policy servicing

• Prepare, design, and validate tools used in underwriting and Singlife Philippines Distribution Models

• Provide technical support in various distribution and marketing initiatives and campaigns Reinsurance management and optimization

• Recommend reinsurance structures for new and existing products

• Manage reinsurers by testing new structures and challenging provided rates maximize and maintain above standard solvency ratio

• Manage the production and handling of accountabilities and recoverable on reinsurance ceded on the company's business

Experience studies and valuation

• Monitor experience against actuarial pricing assumption and conduct annual experience reviews

• Responsible for monthly production of claims report

• Responsible for the regular creation of valuation and relevant financial adjustments as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant pricing experience
• Continuous improvement mindset and familiar with key & emerging technologies
• Strong overall technical pricing, valuation and analysis capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce
• Demonstrated responsiveness to internal and external clients
