The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Sports Science Therapist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is directly responsible in planning, designing, managing, facilitating, and evaluating safe and effective sports rehabilitation programs to patients referred by a physiatrist to improve fitness, endurance, strength, and performance.
This role reports directly to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
What's The Role All About
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provides holistic sports care management following the hospital and department's standard protocols to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care
- Performing complete and accurate Fitness and Pre-participation sports evaluation, treatment and program by the Physiatrist to meet the rehabilitation goal for the patient
- Observing good clinical judgement and make sound recommendations and/or revision of Occupational Therapy program in close coordination with the Physiatrist as deemed necessary to optimize functional recovery
- Maintaining patient safely prior to and during treatment procedures, observing accurate patient identification and other standard health and safety protocols, including hand hygiene, fall prevention protocols, and daily checking and cleaning of equipment and reporting to the immediate superior and department concerned.
- Provides better communication and collaboration with patient/patient's family, colleagues, personnel from other department through timely, accurate, and efficient communication and service to contributes to the overall excellence in patient care delivery

Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Sports Science / Fitness Management.
