About the Role
The role is hiring for AltaSports, an exciting new sports content and community platform with head office based in BGC, Manila.
We are looking for a passionate Sports Content Operations Specialist who loves volleyball and sports media. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sports content across our AltaSports mobile and web platforms, focusing on volleyball-related news, tournaments, and fan engagement within the Philippine market.
You will work closely with the team to deliver timely sports updates, engaging content, and strategic platform operations to serve local volleyball fans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily content operations of the Altasports mobile platform, including content planning, news sourcing, writing, editing, and publishing trending sports content.
- Monitor key volleyball events and tournaments and push real-time updates for major matches and breaking news.
- Oversee content operations on the Altasports web platform, adjusting layouts and content priorities based on tournament schedules and trending topics.
- Analyze volleyball industry trends and local user behavior to develop innovative content strategies and operational solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute campaigns, projects, and content initiatives related to volleyball and sports events.
- Support other operational tasks and projects as required.
Requirements
- Passion for sports, especially volleyball, with a strong understanding of volleyball culture.
- Solid knowledge of Philippine volleyball leagues, such as Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and UAAP Volleyball.
- Familiar with local volleyball media, journalists, bloggers, and trending content directions in the Philippines.
- At least 2 years of experience in sports content operations, digital media, or internet platform operations.
- Understanding of local volleyball tournaments, live streaming priorities, and event coverage strategies.
- Strong project management and campaign planning skills, with the ability to independently drive execution.
- Excellent communication and resource coordination skills.
- Experience in internet platform operations or sports media is preferred.
- Proficient in CMS (Content Management Systems) and basic design tools such as Photoshop (PS) or Premiere Pro (PR).
