The LMS Specialist is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and support of the Learning Management System. The role ensures accurate learning data, proper content management, issue resolution, and the smooth delivery of learning programs. The position collaborates with various internal teams and external partners to support organizational learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration
- Manage user profiles, enrollments, courses, learning paths, and certifications.
- Upload, configure, test, and maintain SCORM/xAPI packages, videos, and other content.
- Provide functional LMS support and troubleshoot user issues.
Reporting & Data Management
- Generate and validate standard and ad-hoc LMS reports.
- Maintain data accuracy and support stakeholders with learning insights.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate updates, timelines, and requirements to L&D, HR, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Assist internal and external partners with LMS-related tasks and inquiries.
Process & Service Delivery
- Ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.
- Follow organizational policies, SOPs, data governance, and ethical standards.
- Support continuous improvement and identify process inefficiencies
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Psychology, Instructional Design, IT, Business Administration, or related field
- Relevant experience may substitute formal education
Experience & Skills
- 13 years of LMS administration experience
- Familiarity with Moodle, Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Canvas, Docebo, or similar platforms
- Experience with content uploads (SCORM/xAPI), user management, and LMS troubleshooting
- Strong data accuracy, reporting, and basic data management skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Certifications
- LMS platform certifications (e.g., SuccessFactors, Moodle, Docebo)
- L&D/Instructional Design certifications (ATD, eLearning programs)
