Auto Parts Specialist (Spare Parts)
Job Description:
- Provide full-day phone support to customers, handling spare parts enquiries in a professional, and timely manner.
- Accurately interpret customer spare parts requirements using part descriptions, vehicle details, and VIN information.
- Prepare and provide quotations for panel and mechanical parts, ensuring correct pricing, availability, and part information.
- Assist customers with enquiries relating to part availability, pricing, suitable alternatives, and general spare parts information.
- Liaise with Spare Parts Team and suppliers to confirm stock availability, pricing, lead times, and alternative part options.
- Maintain accurate records of customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and follow-up activities within the relevant systems.
- Proactively follow up pending enquiries, quotations, and customer requests to ensure timely resolution and a high standard of service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of parts catalogues, supplier systems, manufacturer information, and pricing structures.
- Support the Spare Parts Team with administrative tasks related to quoting and order processing.
- Deliver excellent customer service through clear, confident, and professional communication.
Qualifications:
- 2 – 3 years of experience as a Spare Parts Interpreter, preferably within a dealership, automotive supplier, or trade environment.
- Experience working with parts catalogues, supplier portals, or quoting systems.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle panels and mechanical components.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in interpreting and entering data.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a highly competitive quoting environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to provide support to spare parts customers.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Prior experience in a high-volume trade or flee spare parts environment.
- Experience supporting Australian, UK, or global automotive markets.
- Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS), ERP platforms, or automotive quoting software.
