Responsibilities The Solutions Manager - Local Payments is responsible for driving business development within the local payments industry, owning the end-to-end sales cycle, and ensuring the creation and delivery of effective banking solutions for partners.
Business Development & Client Management
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential partners/clients across the local payments segment.
- Lead outreach, discovery calls, and initial sales, converting leads from various channels (networking, cold calling, email campaigns, industry events) into active business relationships.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business partnerships.
- Manage existing onboarded clients to cross-sell additional products and identify new services they may require.
Solution Strategy & Design
- Deeply understand partners and segments financial automation needs, execution pain points, process gaps, and compliance constraints to identify solution opportunities.
- Translate business and client requirements into clear solution scopes and communicate these to the Product team, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities and product direction.
- Coordinate closely with Product and Development teams by facilitating discussions, providing context, and ensuring requirements are well understood for product design and development.
- Monitor the progress of solution delivery, aligning teams, tracking timelines, and ensuring that requirements and quality standards are met throughout implementation.
- Conduct market and industry research to analyze trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments that inform solution design.
- Identify the operational requirements, resource needs, external partnerships, regulatory considerations, cost implications, and risks associated with building and operating the solution.
- Design commercial and pricing models that reflect the solution's value, cover underlying costs, and align with market expectations.
Sales, Negotiation & Implementation
- Develop compelling pitches and present tailored solutions and business proposals to prospective clients, clearly positioning Netbank's value proposition.
- Participate in sales meetings and negotiations to close deals and secure contracts.
- Negotiate commercials and secure internal approvals for non-standard pricing.
- Manage a highly professional and rapid sales and on-boarding process, keeping partners fully informed throughout implementation.
- Work with internal teams (tech, legal, compliance) to prepare proposals, pricing, and implementation pathways.
- Oversee the implementation of the solution and ensure a smooth handover of new partners to the onboarding and implementation teams.
Performance & Growth
- Define the go-to-market strategy and develop sales material.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business development strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Gather feedback from users and provide market insights to improve existing offerings or create new products.
- Monitor and validate the profitability, traction, and performance of the solution.
