Solutions Engineer-Alabang

Position Summary

The Solutions Engineer provides technical support, solution input, and supplier oversight for assigned enterprise technology areas. This role works under the direction of a Senior Solutions Engineer, Solutions Engineering Consultant, or lead technical subject matter expert to help ensure the stability, performance, and integrity of the operations environment. The Solutions Engineer collaborates with suppliers and internal IT teams to support implementation activities, incident response, change execution, reporting, and ongoing service improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide input and design assistance during the implementation of technical designs, project plans, and supplier-delivered solutions.
• Support research and evaluation of potential system solutions, vendor products, platform capabilities, and technical service options.
• Work with suppliers to help identify root cause and recommend corrective actions for system outages, service interruptions, or performance issues.
• Partner with senior engineers, consultants, or lead subject matter experts to prepare proposals and recommendations for technical direction or solution improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on change implementation plans, release activities, project tasks, and operational readiness items.
• Monitor day-to-day supplier progress on project work, problem remediation, and assigned service improvement activities.
• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly SLA/KPI reports and escalate trends, risks, or remediation recommendations to senior engineering resources.
• Participate in P1/P2/P3 troubleshooting calls as requested and assist with documentation, follow-up actions, and issue tracking.
• Perform assigned project tasks independently or as part of a larger project team.
• Work collaboratively with IT architecture, operations, security, network, cloud, application, and business partner teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of professional IT experience, preferably within infrastructure operations, engineering, technical support, or solutions delivery.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in an assigned technology tower or infrastructure domain.
• Working knowledge of one or more infrastructure technology areas such as Windows, Linux, storage, network, virtualization, cloud, database, web, or related enterprise platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively within teams composed of on-site, remote, internal, external, and supplier resources.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to escalate to senior engineers or technical leads.
• Familiarity with architecture compliance, technical design review, change management, incident management, problem management, and release management processes.
• Strong research, communication, documentation, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with managed service providers, suppliers, or vendor delivery teams.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, VMware, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, Cisco UCS,
• Windows Server, Linux, networking, or similar enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, contingency planning, demand management, capacity
• management, and performance reporting.
• Relevant technical certifications, ITIL exposure, or project delivery experience are a plus.
