Solutions Designer

The Product Solutions Designer/Manager is responsible for developing and delivering new products and services, as well as improving existing offerings. Working within cross-functional product development and delivery teams, they coordinate engineers, technologists, and stakeholders from marketing, finance, and quality assurance to drive projects forward. The role is customer-centered while maintaining strong technical know-how to bridge between customer needs and product/technology execution, helping achieve product-market fit through research, analytics, and experimentation. They also lead product design and development processes, define customer experience through wireframes and mock-ups, align architecture and edge-case handling with technical and test leads, and ensure programs complete successfully on time and within budget through strong project management and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new products and services, and drive improvements to existing products and services
• Manage the product design and development team and create processes and mechanisms to enable team support
• Serve as a key member of cross-functional product development and delivery teams, liaising with engineers, technologists, marketing, finance, and quality assurance stakeholders to drive projects forward
• Partner with Product Owners to deepen understanding of customer needs using research, customer behavior data/analytics, A/B testing, and direct customer conversations
• Facilitate product specifications and user stories
• Define the customer experience through mock-ups and wireframes
• Work with Product Owners to prioritize features and present trade-offs and risks
• Collaborate with Technology Leads/Managers and engineers to agree on working architecture and present relative trade-offs between approaches
• Work with Test Leads and Managers to determine edge case scenarios and proper handling on the customer side
• Lead project management for product development programs, including creating schedules, monitoring progress against targets, and ensuring delivery from concept through specification, design, development, and launch
• Set up stage-by-stage reviews to ensure program objectives are met as the project progresses
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the program, coordinate specialists, keep team members informed on progress, and liaise with senior management to align strategic development objectives and secure budget approval
  
  

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong technical background with the ability to read source code
• Experience in product and software development, design, or digital marketing
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver successful results
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to meet strategic objectives
• Strong background in process and business operations
• Demonstrated ability to manage product design and development programs to successful conclusion on time and within budget
• Good communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders in a product development program
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer-centered approach with experience using research, data/analytics of customer behavior, A/B testing, and direct customer conversations to understand needs
• Experience defining customer experience via mock-ups and wireframes
• Experience facilitating product specifications and user stories
