Solutions Design Manager

Job Summary: Lead the development of complex, innovative, and commercially competitive supply chain solutions that drive sustainable business growth, enhance customer value, and strengthen DHL Supply Chain's market leadership. The role serves as a strategic partner to Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customers by translating business requirements into scalable and operationally executable solutions while ensuring alignment with corporate standards, profitability objectives, and long-term strategic priorities in support of DHL's growth ambitions toward 2030. Additionally, the role provides thought leadership, mentoring to junior SD team members, and overall support to the Country Head Solutions Design.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Solutions Development

• Lead the end-to-end design of complex supply chain solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, DHL operational capabilities, strategic growth priorities, and financial objectives.

Commercial and Financial Responsibility

• Drive the creation of robust business cases, cost models, pricing strategies, and investment assessments that support profitable growth while maintaining compliance with DHL commercial principles and governance standards

Solutions Design Governance and Excellence

• Ensure all solutions are developed in accordance with DHL Supply Chain methodologies and standards, including O2D, SD Basics, OMS, financial governance requirements, and relevant customer implementation frameworks

Stakeholder and Customer Leadership

• Advise customers and senior internal stakeholders with strategic insights and supply chain expertise throughout the sales and solutioning lifecycle

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Champion innovation by leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, automation solutions, AI-driven tools, and advanced analytics to improve customer outcomes and DHL competitiveness

Leadership and Organizational Contribution

• Provide functional leadership, coaching, and mentoring to more junior Solutions Design team members, supporting capability development, succession planning, and knowledge sharing within the organization

Experience & Requirements:

• Must have reached at least an SD Manager role or equivalent within a solutions design organization

• Proven track record in designing large-scale warehousing or integrated logistics solutions.

• Minimum 4 years of supply chain, logistics engineering, supply chain function, warehousing operations, or solutions design experience

• Excellent understanding of and practical experience in SD framework and tools such as resource model, space model, cost model

• Experience and competence in AutoCAD, Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI

• Strong commercial and financial modeling experience.
