JOB SUMMARY:

The Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales) for Data & Analytics Solutions is a critical role responsible for bridging the gap between sales, technical expertise, and customer needs. A demonstrable presales background is a must for this position. This individual will work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, articulate the value of our data and analytics offerings, and design compelling, tailored solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of technical acumen, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solution Evangelism & Demonstration:
  • Conduct compelling solution demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our Data Modernization & Analytics solutions to prospective clients.
  • Articulate the value proposition of our solutions in the context of specific customer business challenges and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics, AI/ML, data engineering, data governance, and related technologies

Technical Discovery & Qualification:

  • Collaborate with sales to conduct in-depth discovery sessions with clients to understand their current data landscape, business objectives, pain points, and technical requirements.
  • Qualify opportunities from a technical and solution fit perspective.
  • Identify key stakeholders and their motivations within the client organization.

Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Translate business requirements into technical solution architectures, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, business intelligence dashboards, advanced analytics models, and data governance frameworks.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with implementation capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of proofs-of-concept (POCs) and prototypes as needed.
  • Proposal Development & RFI/RFP Responses:
  • Contribute significantly to the technical sections of proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and other pre-sales collateral.

Trusted Advisor & Relationship Building:

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and clients throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build strong relationships with client technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on industry best practices and our solution expertise.

Pre-Sales Enablement & Training:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales enablement materials, including competitive intelligence, solution briefs, and case studies.
  • Conduct internal training sessions for the sales team on new data & analytics offerings and solution updates.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 3 or plus years of dedicated pre-sales experience is a must.
  • Experience in pre-sales solutioning for infrastructure (cloud or on-premise), software development opportunities, network and security and/or AI initiatives are highly welcome and transferable.
  • Proven track record of successfully contributing to the sales of complex technology solutions.
  • While specific Data & Analytics pre-sales experience is highly advantageous, candidates with strong pre-sales fundamentals and a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to data modernization solutions will be considered.
  • Familiarity with concepts in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Catalog, and Master Data Management.
  • Experience with specific industry verticals (e.g., financial services, retail, healthcare) is a plus.
  • Technical Aptitude:
  • Willingness and strong desire to learn and adapt to data modernization solutions and become a proficient data practitioner.
  • Understanding of fundamental data concepts (databases, data structures, data flow).
  • Familiarity with data platforms functionalities and features (Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure, Talend, Informatica, Python, Confluent Kafka, Apache Nifi, Spark, Tableau, PowerBI, and Machine Learning platform like Dataiku or AWS Sagemaker) and their basic services is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts is advantageous.
  • Ability to grasp new technologies and complex technical concepts quickly.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation and demonstration abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a commitment to providing quality solutions to customers and clients.
