The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that address business requirements and support organizational objectives. This role develops and drives technical strategies that align with business goals by leveraging appropriate hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies. The Solutions Architect ensures that solutions are secure, scalable, modular, reusable, extensible, and cost-efficient while adhering to architectural standards and best practices.
Working closely with business leaders, project managers, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders, the Solutions Architect translates business needs into effective technical solutions, providing architectural guidance throughout the solution lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end technology solutions that align with business goals and enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Lead architecture initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, modular, reusable, and cost-effective while meeting performance and operational requirements.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to optimize functionality, maintainability, and integration capabilities.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and architectural challenges during solution design and delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development and engineering teams.
- Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, patterns, and best practices across projects.
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution design artifacts.
- Support the adoption of reusable architecture components and frameworks to improve development efficiency and consistency.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert and key advisor for architecture-related decisions and technology investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in solutions architecture, software development, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Technical Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in web and/or mobile application development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in API development and integration.
- Working knowledge of databases and data modeling.
- Experience in microservices, modular, and reusable architecture design.
- Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- Proven ability to research, design, and deliver effective technology solutions.
