The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and delivering technology solutions that address business requirements while aligning with the organization's strategic technology direction. This role develops end-to-end solution architectures that leverage appropriate hardware, software, and infrastructure components to support business objectives. The Solutions Architect ensures that solutions are secure, scalable, modular, reusable, maintainable, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.
Working closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, engineers, and other technology teams, the Solutions Architect translates business needs into practical technical solutions, provides architectural guidance, and ensures that solution designs meet both functional and non-functional requirements while supporting long-term organizational growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and presentation of technology solutions that address business requirements and align with the organization's overall technology strategy.
- Drive architecture initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring solutions are delivered in accordance with established architectural standards and best practices.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand organizational needs and translate them into effective, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions.
- Identify potential technical risks, constraints, and implementation challenges early in the solution lifecycle and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, performance, reliability, and usability.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) and provide architectural guidance to business users, project teams, developers, and engineers.
- Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative tools and approaches that enhance business and technology capabilities.
- Promote and drive the adoption of reusable architecture components, frameworks, and assets to improve efficiency, consistency, and delivery speed.
- Develop, maintain, and update architecture documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, standards, and system diagrams.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions are implemented in alignment with approved architectural designs and requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and support to development and engineering teams to enable successful execution of solution designs.
- Document and communicate current-state and future-state architecture to support knowledge sharing, governance, and informed decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate existing solutions and recommend enhancements to improve system effectiveness, maintainability, and overall business value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture and design principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Technical Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Web and/or Mobile Development.
- At least 5 years of experience in API Development and Integration.
- Knowledge of database concepts and data modeling.
- Experience with modular, microservices, and reusable component architectures.
- Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- Proven experience in researching, designing, and developing technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of scalability, security, and application integration.
