The Solution Design Engineer will play a crucial role in providing pre-sales technical support, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of customer feedback into product development.
Responsibilities of a Design Engineer:
- Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and answering customer inquiries
- Work with customers to understand their requirements and design customized solutions that meet their needs
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into product improvements
- Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and sales materials to support the sales process
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classification other than their own
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferred
- Experience in Ekahau software and Lucidcharts is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network design utilizing Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco Meraki equipment
- Excellent organizational skills while being very detail oriented with the ability to work independently to solve problems and anticipate needs and as a part of a collaborative team
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Visio, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
