Solution Architect (Navitaire system)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to define solution architecture in alignment with airline industry requirements.

• Design end-to-end enterprise solutions covering applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance during solution evaluation, design, and implementation phases.

• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IATA, PCI DSS, GDPR).

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies related to Navitaire to clients.

• Develop high-level and detailed architecture documentation, including solution blueprints, integration patterns, and data flow diagrams.

• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure solution quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Act as a subject matter expert for airline-specific systems such as reservations, departure control, loyalty, revenue management, crew operations, and flight scheduling.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 10+ years in IT with at least 3 years in solution architecture, preferably in the airline/travel domain.

• Strong knowledge of airline industry processes and Navitaire systems.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration (APIs, microservices, ESB, event-driven architecture).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures.

• Proficiency in designing solutions that support scalability, high availability, performance, and security.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions.
