As Solar Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large-scale solar projects safely, on time, and within budget. You'll coordinate EPC contractors, local subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality construction and smooth handover to operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end construction of utility-scale solar PV projects in the Philippines.
  • Oversee site activities including civil, mechanical, and electrical works, ensuring adherence to design, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
  • Manage EPCs and subcontractors: work planning, progress tracking, site coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures in line with international and local standards.
  • Monitor project schedule, costs, and resources, report progress and risks to project management.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and punch-list management through to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, grid connection, and operations teams to resolve technical and construction challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, landowners, and relevant authorities as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) managing construction of utility-scale solar PV or similar large infrastructure projects, ideally in the Philippines or Southeast Asia.
  • Strong understanding of solar construction methods, standards, and QA/QC processes.
  • Demonstrated track record managing contractors and multicultural site teams.
  • Solid knowledge of HSE best practices and site-level implementation.
  • Able to work on remote project sites with regular travel within the Philippines.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
