Software Test Engineer

Job Description

The Software Test Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software solutions by designing, executing, and documenting test activities. The role works closely with developers and product teams to detect defects early, improve user experience, and support the delivery of stable, high-quality releases.

The role has a Delivery-focus but also includes a wider range of responsibilities:

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Design, execute, and document manual and automated tests.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform various testing types including:
  • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Load and performance testing
  • Usability testing
• Validate that software meets business and technical requirements.

Defect Management

• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers on root cause analysis and fixes.
• Re-test fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved.

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Support continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Experience with manual testing automation experience is an advantage.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
