The Opportunity
This position is for a global
Software Auditor and Inventory Analyst who will play a key role in the
OpenTextCompliance Management Team. The compliance team is responsible for protecting Intellectual Property and contractual rights associated with software produced across all business lines.
The auditor plays a critical role in the overall license verification process. This individual will be responsible for collecting data, and creating complete, accurate and verifiable reports that reflect a customer's deployment of software. These reports are mission-critical, as they form the basis of the team's assessment of of license compliance.
The role requires a solid understanding of software discovery methodologies and tools, audit best practices, and inventory data analysis. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with how software is deployed, managed, and distributed across large enterprises. Experience reading and interpreting software contracts and licensing agreements is also important.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage customer engagements during the data-collection and analysis process.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of product licensing and customer contract terms.
- Conduct extensive Excel analysis as part of audit execution.
- Present deployment analysis to external customers.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Identify opportunities for new or updated audit methodologies.
Requirements
- 2- 5 years of software auditing experience, working with external customers.
- Experience with third-party audit firms, including contract review and software licensing assessments (preferred).
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and capable of working independently and in team environments.
- Hard working & detail oriented.
- Professional and personable demeanour.
- Understanding of technology and software license agreements.
- Familiar with standard software license agreements and common contract language.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills; proficiency in Excel essential.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to different customer environments and cultural contexts during global audits.
- Flexibility to collaborate across global teams and accommodate multiple time zones.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructures and deployment methodologies.
