About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in backend development for Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems. This role involves designing, building, and supporting backend services and integrations across cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence in a 24×7 environment.

- Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, GCP/UDP/BigQuery, Databricks

- Programming & Application Development: Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript, Python

- Databases: MS SQL, DB2

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering or production support

- Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills

- Solid backend engineering fundamentals with distributed systems experience

- Proficiency in backend frameworks (Java/Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript services)

- Experience with Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks

- Strong RDBMS experience with MS SQL and DB2

- Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders

- Self‑driven, proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative

- Willingness to work in a 24×7 support structure (on‑call, weekends, holidays)

- Comfortable in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for SCM systems

- Build integrations with supply chain platforms and data pipelines

- Support and optimize cloud‑hosted solutions using Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks

- Work with relational databases (MS SQL, DB2) to ensure data integrity and performance

- Diagnose and resolve incidents, implement permanent fixes, and drive continuous improvement

- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and vendors to translate SCM requirements into technical solutions

- Conduct root‑cause analysis and ensure SLA compliance

- Maintain documentation and proactively update the knowledge base

- Participate in testing, design, and implementation activities for SCM projects

- Mentor and upskill team members on backend technologies and best practices
