We're looking for afull-time Software Engineer based in the Philippineswho can help us build, maintain, and optimize the tools that power our student platform. Working hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 8AM6PM EST. We want someone who's excited to solve challenging problems, develop creative solutions, and collaborate with our team to create software that makes a real difference in students lives.
Role Description
- Develop, maintain, and optimize internal software systems and automations to support business operations
- Build innovative tools to streamline internal processes and enhance client experiences
- Mentor and guide students through technical projects and development sprints
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and deliver technical initiatives
- Maintain best practices for software development, data security, and information confidentiality
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in React, Node.js, MongoDB, JavaScript/TypeScript (MERN) (or similar languages)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and help others grow
- Commitment to security and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Security or accessibility testing knowledge
- Performance or load testing experience
- Familiarity with front-end workflows, from Figma designs to React pages.
- Hands-on experience with Shadcn, Tailwind, Builder.io, Lovable, or similar tools.
- Interest or experience in machine learning (ML) and AI.
- Skill in writing efficient automated QA scripts to speed up releases.
