We are seeking an experienced
Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain a custom client-facing operations platform that will serve as the central hub for our business processes. This role is responsible for building a scalable, secure, and user-friendly web application from the ground up, integrating multiple business systems into a single unified platform.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on full-stack developer with strong experience in web application development, API integrations, cloud technologies, and database design. This individual should be comfortable translating complex business requirements into intuitive technical solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Application Development
- Design, architect, develop, and deploy a custom web-based operations platform from the ground up.
- Build responsive, scalable, and high-performance front-end and back-end components.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following software development best practices.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience.
System Integration & API Development
- Integrate third-party platforms and business systems through REST APIs and other integration methods.
- Connect and synchronize data across platforms including:
- Cvent
- HubSpot
- Microsoft Lists
- SharePoint
- Microsoft 365
- Other internal and external business applications
- Develop secure data exchange processes and ensure reliable synchronization between systems.
Platform Architecture & Database Management
- Design scalable application architecture that supports future growth and additional integrations.
- Develop and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Implement efficient data models and optimize database queries.
Workflow Automation & Business Process Optimization
- Build custom workflows that automate operational processes.
- Develop user roles, permissions, and authentication systems.
- Create automated notifications, task management, and approval workflows.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that consolidate information from multiple data sources.
- Build real-time reporting capabilities for internal teams and client-facing users.
- Design visualizations that provide meaningful operational insights and business metrics.
Security & Platform Maintenance
- Implement application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, maintainable, and compliant with organizational security standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application issues.
- Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and enhancements.
Collaboration & Technical Consultation
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and operational requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, solution planning, and technology recommendations.
- Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer for internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack web application development.
- Proven experience designing and developing custom business or operations platforms.
- Strong experience integrating third-party applications using REST APIs and web services.
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Lists.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases, database design, and optimization.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Strong back-end development experience using modern frameworks such as .NET, Node.js, or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
