Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

At least 5+ years of experience in application or production support

Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills

Strong backend engineering fundamentals and experience supporting distributed systems

Proficiency in backend frameworks, especially Java/Spring Boot, Python, and JavaScript-based backend services

Experience working with Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks

Strong RDBMS experience with MS SQL and DB2

Excellent communication skills for coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Self-driven, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or within a team

Willing to work in a 247 support structure (on-call, weekends, holidays as needed)

Comfortable working in fast-paced, support-oriented environments with shifting priorities

Strong time-management and customer-service orientation

Key Responsibilities:

Provide end-to-end support for backend systems, APIs, and integrations built using Java, Python, Spring Boot, and cloud-native components

Diagnose and resolve incidents, perform minor enhancements, and implement permanent fixes

Support cloud-hosted solutions using Azure, GCP/UDP, BigQuery, and Databricks

Work with relational databases including MS SQL and DB2

Maintain documentation and proactively update the knowledge base

Monitor incidents and ensure SLA compliance, escalating issues when required

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for complex incident resolution

Execute ad hoc tasks, health checks, and proactive monitoring activities

Conduct root-cause analysis and actively participate in continuous-improvement efforts

Provide consultation on escalation matrices, issue handling, and process changes

Communicate effectively with stakeholders using email, chat, or conference calls

Assist in testing, design, and implementation activities based on business needs

Take on functional tasks, and potentially oversee a functional area or participate in projects as a Designer, Tester, or Implementer

Mentor and upskill team members on integration tools, technologies, and best practices to accelerate the team's overall competency and reduce knowledge gaps

Adapt to changing priorities and support requests as needed
