Overview:
A progressive client delivering advanced solutions in biometrics authentication, telecommunications, financial services, smart hospitality, and transport systems is looking for a Software Developer / QA Analyst to join their team in Makati City.
This role is responsible for ensuring software quality through both manual and automated testing, while also contributing to software development and system enhancements across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze functional, design, and system specifications to define testing requirements
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation
- Execute manual and automated tests; evaluate and document results
- Identify, log, and track defects and support issue resolution
- Perform regression, integration, performance, and negative testing
- Support deployment of releases and conduct post-release validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC
- Review code and optimize system performance
- Design, develop, and enhance system features and functionalities
- Provide production support and maintain technical documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Up to 3 years of experience in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript)
- Experience with testing tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of REST APIs and API testing
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with biometrics systems is a plus
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD tools is an advantage
