Software Developer - Java

About the Role We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-performance enterprise applications. Based in Makati under a hybrid work model, you will leverage modern Java development frameworks, database tuning strategies, and cloud integration techniques to deliver robust RESTful microservices and scale critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend solutions using Java (1.8+) and Spring Boot.
• Write clean, maintainable code backed by automated unit tests (JUnit, TestNG, or Mockito) to ensure system reliability.
• Perform SQL query optimization and database design across relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Integrate applications with cloud-native services, asynchronous messaging systems, and CI/CD automation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to troubleshoot production issues, refine technical documentation, and support deployment workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Core Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience using Java (Java 8 or higher).
• Frameworks & Design: Proven expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data/MVC, RESTful API architecture, and Microservices design patterns.
• Database Management: Demonstrated experience writing and optimizing database queries using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
