Job Overview

The Software Developer/Test, Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing whenever possible. The Software Developer/Test, and QA Analyst will ensure that the system and software work correctly and at par to the requirements and specifications of the system. Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle. The Software Developer/Test, and QA Analyst will do a sanity test for new and patches while also planning and executing test cases to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Review and analyze functional, design, and system specifications to identify test requirements and coverage.
• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and testing plans.
• Execute manual and automated tests, evaluate results, and document testing phases and defects.
• Identify, log, and report bugs or errors and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Conduct regression, performance, integration, and negative testing scenarios when needed.
• Support deployment of releases and patches and perform post-release or post-implementation testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review code, optimize system performance, and modify application configurations as required.
• Analyze, design, develop, and support system enhancements, change requests, and new features.
• Provide production support, maintain technical documentation, and perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering, or other equivalent related courses
• Proficiency or have less the three (3) years experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript)
• Experience with software testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cypress).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and test automation for APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiar with Biometrics Data Capturing Machine
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• CI/CD tools knowledge (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) is an advantage.
