The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Developer (Automation Engineer) who will be part of NRG's research operations technology team. This role will focus on building automation tools, AI-driven applications, and web solutions that support NRG's research process. You'll collaborate with cross functional stakeholders across our operations, technology, data, and client service teams to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and create tools that help scale our business.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the foundation of our internal development function, bringing technical innovation closer to our day-to-day operations.

Your Impact

  • Design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions for data transformation, workflow optimization, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain internal tools, automation workflows, and web-applications that streamline operational requests, manage research processes, and improve collaboration across teams.
  • Own the full lifecycle of automation tools and systems, from architecture through deployment and maintenance, with responsibility across both front- and back-end components.
  • Align with cross-functional stakeholders to create scalable technical solutions.
  • Integrate internally built applications with existing research platforms such as Forsta to support client requests.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable, user-friendly technical solutions.
  • Contribute to scalable, reusable codebases and ensure tools can support NRG's global research volume.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies in automation, AI, and web development, applying practical innovations that drive efficiency.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and support knowledge transfer to strengthen NRG's long-term in-house development capabilities.
  • Who We're Looking For

    • Experience –3-4 years of professional, in software development, ideally in a product or operations-focused environment.
    • Skills – Experience with both front-end (React, JavaScript, or similar) and back-end (Python) development; experience with APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Proficiency with XML and experience working with survey or data collection platforms (e.g., Decipher, Forsta) is strongly preferred.
    • AI - Experience with AI/ML tools, survey platforms, automation frameworks, and no code agent platforms (e.g., Copilot Studio, Make.com, n8n) required.
    • Design – Experience with intuitive UI/UX design
    • Tools – Familiarity with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices. Excellent computer skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Degree – BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent with a strong academic record.
    • Self-starter – Internally motivated individual who continuously strives to get things done well, regardless of challenges encountered.
    • Strong communicator Skilled in communicating with a variety of key stakeholders from different teams like Operations, Engineering, & Client Services. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Expert multitasker Successfully manages time and multiple competing priorities to ensure deadlines are always met. You have no problem with changing direction on priorities when needed.
    • Problem Solving – Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.

    Position Type

    This is a full-time position. Candidates will work Tues -Sat 6am - 3pm PHT.
